What is provided on my Spa Day?
Within our fabulous changing facilities, you will have your personal locker equipped with a bathrobe, towel and spa footwear to use for the day.
Is there a time limit on using the thermal experience?
We recommend allowing yourself two to three hours to complete the Thermal Experience journey; however you are welcome to stay as long as you wish.
Do we need to book in advance?
We recommend that you book as far in advance as possible for all thermal experience, spa days, spa treatments or spa breaks to avoid disappointment.
Do you cater for group bookings?
In order to maintain the ambience you would expect from a spa, we limit group bookings to a maximum of eight people per group. We only accept one large group booking per day.
Can I book online?
We believe in the personal touch and want to make sure that you enjoy your experience with us; we offer such a variety of packages and treatments that’s why we prefer it if you call to book. It also means we can let you know exactly what we can provide, suggest treatments to suit you and your guests and recommend different packages that you might not already know about; so that we can help to create the perfect spa visit for you.
I have a medical condition, am I still ok to visit?
It is essential that you advise us of any medical conditions and allergies prior to arrival and receiving your spa treatment so that we can ensure they are suitable for you. Please don’t hesitate to ask our advice when you make your booking.
Can I visit if I’m pregnant?
To all pregnant ladies we recommend the Spa is completely avoided during the first trimester of pregnancy. Following this stage we recommend you seek advice from your own GP/Midwife as each pregnancy is different. We do have specific treatments and spa days that you can enjoy throughout pregnancy.
Are there any age restrictions?
The Woodland Spa is reserved for the use of adults, 16 years and over.
When do I have to pay?
Full payment is required on booking for all spa days, spa breaks and spa packages.
I’ve booked a treatment, am I able to use the Thermal Experience facilities too?
Yes you can; however there is an additional cost for using the Thermal Experience facilities. Visit our Just Spa page for current prices. Booking is essential.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Please provide us with 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to make your appointment/spa package and we will be happy to re-schedule. Otherwise we reserve the right to charge the full amount.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes we do, our free WI-Fi area is within the Spa Restaurant, Bertram’s. Whilst you’re on the internet, why not share your Spa experience via our Twitter, Google+ and Facebook pages?
Do you allow smoking in the Spa areas?
Smoking (inc. E Cigarettes) is not permitted in any of our indoor or outdoor thermal areas. A designated smoking area is provided at the bottom of Bertram’s lift and also adjacent to the outdoor terrace washroom facilities.
Where can I park?
Free car parking is available on site, our main car park is situated at the front of the Leisure Centre.
Food & Drinks
Is food and drink included during my spa day?
Some of our Spa packages include food and/or beverage; it is also possible to purchase food or drinks from Bertram’s Restaurant or Tapas and beverages from the Terrace Bar during your visit. A water fountain is available in the Thermal Suite; please ensure you keep hydrated whilst enjoying the facilities.
Can we bring our own food and drink?
Unfortunately not, if there is any particular reason you need to do this, such as medical conditions please let us know and we will check with the Restaurant that they can cater for your needs.
Is alcohol allowed in the Spa?
Alcohol is not permitted inside the Thermal Suite, changing rooms or outdoor pools/hot tubs. Alcohol may only be consumed within the restaurant, Terrace Bar or outdoor seating area.
Do you cater for food allergies/dietary requirements?
Yes, if you let us know your requirements at the time of booking we can speak to the Restaurant, who will either adapt something from our current menu or create a suitable alternative.
Do we need to pre-order food?
Depending on your group size you may be asked to pre-order. If you have any special requirements we would suggest that you order in advance, however generally it is not required.
What do I need to wear for dining in the restaurant?
It is possible to dine in the restaurant in your spa robes until 6pm after which time you will need to be fully dressed. There is no formal dress code for the restaurant. If you choose to dine or enjoy drinks in the Terrace Bar, robes must be worn at all times.
What type of accommodation do you have?
We have a small number of luxury ensuite bedrooms suitable for up to two people. Luxury toiletries, towels and hairdryers are provided in your en-suite shower rooms.
In addition to these bedrooms, we have just one luxury suite which features a fabulous free-standing bath situated in a spacious en-suite bathroom.
Perfect for larger spa groups, we have your exclusive Spa Apartment. Bright and airy, this spacious, sumptuous and private spa apartment is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. With two beautifully decorated bedrooms which feature full kingsize double beds or two full size single beds for twin occupancy, as required, plus a fabulous lounge fully furnished with two leather sofa beds.
Luxury bath and shower room including complimentary toiletries and luxury towels.
Fully-fitted kitchen/dining room equipped for self-catering, if required – although you have a choice of two restaurants- Bertram’s Restaurant and The Lounge at Crow Wood. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided for you to enjoy in the privacy of your own apartment. A hearty full English breakfast will be served in The Lounge for your enjoyment.
We want to book your accommodation, does this include use of the spa?
Access to our Thermal Suite, on either the day of arrival or the day of departure, is included in our accommodation rates. Full use of Crow Wood Leisure club facilities, swimming pool and gym is available on either day.
What time do we need to check in and check out?
Check in is from 3pm and departure is 12pm, you can use the Leisure facilities during or after your stay.
Is the accommodation attached to the Spa?
All our accommodation is situated just outside the entrance to our main leisure club. Perfectly positioned next to our car park.
Do you offer room service?
Room service is not provided, however the accommodation is only a short walk to The Lounge and Bertram’s Restaurant.
Do you allow pets?
Pets are not allowed in the facility with the exception of guide dogs.
